What is EchOS?
EchOS is the company's living genome — a single, continuously growing knowledge brain that contains everything from the company's first day to the present.
How does EchOS keep company data secure?
EchOS runs fully on-premises, on an isolated internal network with zero public egress — all processing and embedding runs locally with TLS and token-based access.
How do you know if someone accessed or changed something in EchOS?
Every action is recorded in a tamper-evident audit log, cryptographically chained so that any alteration attempt breaks the chain and is detectable.
How are credentials and secrets protected?
All credentials and secrets are stored in a dedicated secrets-management vault rather than in application code or config files.
Does EchOS create duplicate entries if the same document is uploaded twice?
No. Every document is content-hashed on ingestion, so re-uploading the same file is automatically detected and won't create a duplicate index entry.
What access levels exist in EchOS?
EchOS uses role-based permissions with four levels: admin, ingest/search, read-only search, and audit-only compliance review.
Who can access EchOS directly?
No one queries EchOS directly. OIL is the sole authorized access point to EchOS's knowledge — every question, tool, or integration must pass through OIL.
How does EchOS understand relationships between people, projects, and clients?
EchOS extracts structured entities — clients, projects, people, locations, technologies — and maps them into a knowledge graph.
What happens if two documents contradict each other?
EchOS automatically flags conflicting statements found across different documents so inconsistent information isn't silently treated as fact.
Does older information get treated the same as recent information?
EchOS applies confidence decay — older facts gradually carry less weight than recent ones unless reconfirmed.
How does EchOS decide the best way to answer a question?
An intent-routing layer classifies each query and routes it to the most appropriate method — direct lookup, semantic search, or both.
